Thursday evening, April 28, 2022. Grainy video shows an apparent coyote attacking a toddler as she is playing on a beach in Huntington Beach, California. Two adults nearby did not seem to notice but one of the women gets up from a sitting position and turns around, scaring away the coyote. However, possibly because of the loud breaking of the waves, the woman seems to still be unaware of what had transpired and does not seem to be rushing to attend to the child. Police later found and shot two coyotes nearby and will do a DNA test to match the DNA left on the child from the attacking animal. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment for injuries she sustained in the attack.
