The Clark county district court Judge Mary Kay Holthus was attacked by defendant, Deobra Redden, after pleading guilty to attempted battery with substantial bodily harm and asking the judge for mercy. The judge says, "...it's time you get a taste of something else." The defendant then leaps over the judge's bench and had to be restrained by a law clerk before more security arrived.
