Sunday, February 6, 2023. Sanliurfa, Turkey. An earthquake measuring 7.8 magnitude on the richter scale has caused massive destruction in both the countries of Turkey and Syria. The initial earthquake and following aftershocks have inflicted damage to thousands of buildings, resulting in the collapse of many like this one filmed in Sanliurfa, Turkey. The death toll has already exceeded 1,500 and is expected to continue to rise as aftershocks continuing to inflict more damage. Gaziantep Castle, a Roman castle dating back to the second century B.C. has also experienced heavy damage along with other historically significant buidings.
