Friday, June 23, 2023 (Las Vegas Nevada). Andrew Warrender, 32, walked up to the Turnburry Towers, a gated condominium high-rise building where he had been staying with his uncle, and started firing into the buiding with an AR-15. As he made his way inside after his first shot, the rifle jammed and that is when a security guard working in the buiding, Humberto Garcia, shot back at Warrender, hitting him in the legs several times and once in the abdomen. Garcia was then able to hold him at gun point until police arrived. Warrender is now facing several charges including attempted murder.
