Thursday, May 18, 2023 (Charlotte, North Carolina). A passenger, Omarri Tobias, and bus driver, David Fullard, end up in a wild shootout after the passenger, upset he was not allowed to get off the bus in between the designated stops, pulls out a gun. The bus driver was shot in the arm and the passenger shot in the abdomen. They are both recovering from their injuries. Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) fired the bus driver because they do not allow their drivers to be armed.
