Friday, January 27, 2023, Las Vegas, Nevada. Around 4:30pm, Metropolitan Police responded to an accident involving a BMW that struck a palm tree on Las Vegas Boulevard, on the part of the Las Vegas Strip. The car had caught fire and a bystander used a camera tripod to smash a window to allow an officer and another bystander to get to the driver and pull him out. The fire can be seen spreading only a few seconds after the rescue.
