Wednesday, May 31, 2023 (Queens, New York). 65-year-old, Charles Foehner, smoking a cigarette outside his apartment building in the early morning hours of 2am, is approached by 32-year-old Cody Gonzalez, who is holding a pen and attempting to rob Foehner. Foehner tries to retreat but Gozalez kept closing in. Foehner then shoots Gonzalez four times in the chest, killing him. Foehner, who had a license for a shot gun but not for the gun he used to kill the suspect, has been charged with 26 counts of criminal possession of a weapon after 26 firearms, only a few which are licenced, and two armored vests were found in his home. His bail is set at $50,000.
